CommuniGate Systems brings HD Voice to its entire product portfolio for Exceptional Business Communications.

HD Voice technology is now embedded in the CommuniGate Pronto! Flash client with support for HD Voice enabled IP Phones!

Mill Valley, 2 February 2010 - CommuniGate Systems, the leader in carrier-class Mobile Unified Communications, today announced its ubiquitous support for HD Voice, continuing its leadership in the highest quality business communication tools. The new technology will allow users to make calls and hold conferences in high fidelity.

HD Voice is simply exceptional quality compared to the 80-year-old legacy (POTS) telephony systems in place today. The quality improvement amounts to a "doubling" of the fidelity, while also enabling techniques to deal with echo, jitter, and fluctuations in the network quality.

The CommuniGate Pronto! Unified Communications client uses a series of technologies to ensure maximum performance and compatibility. Including the Global IP Solutions "iSAC" codec which performs exceptionally under adverse network conditions, like WiFi the G722 HD Codec found in most IP Phones, and will negotiate with these devices for maximum performance. CommuniGate Systems also include support for IP Phones from Polycom and Aastra that are "HD Voice Enabled" maximizing the flexibility and choice of equipment.

The Adobe® Flash® based Pronto! client runs on Windows, Mac, and Linux, providing maximum platform choices for Mobile and Broadband operators deploying the technology on Netbooks, laptops, or any Flash enabled device.

CommuniGate Systems is a member for the GSMA's RCS initiative and is pleased to announce as part of its HD Voice enablement that the Pronto! client also supports the 3GPP specification for HD Voice on Mobile Networks, AMR-WB (G722.2). Pronto! is the first Fixed Mobile Convergence (FMC) client that is RCS compliant, and capable of HD quality voice calls with HD enabled mobile handsets.

"Businesses of all sizes are leveraging Web 2.0 and audio conferencing to enhance collaboration and reduce travel costs." said Ulrich Hammerschmidt, Vice President Deutsche Telekom – ICSS, "We use the CommuniGate Systems' UC Centrex hosting platform with Pronto! to deliver SaaS based Unified Communications to our global customers. Pronto! enables our customers to enjoy the benefits of Unified Communications, from any computer no matter where they are. HD Voice is especially important to those who work with different accents, and non-native speakers as the clarity and fidelity is exceptional."

"HD Voice is the wow factor we have all been waiting for with VoIP," says Jon Doyle, VP Corporate & Business Development at CommuniGate Systems. "HD Voice changes the telephony experience in the same way the CD changed the music experience. The difference is really that significant, and businesses gain value using audio conferencing and "Skype like" services that are of the highest possible quality and clarity, providing true business grade for office based, remote and mobile workers".
